At a quarter to six we walked from apartment to the BTS Sky Train at Phayathai. Then, we take Airport Rail Link from Phayatai to Ramkhamhaeng, 25 baht per person. Then we walked from the station to Islamic center ๐
Once we arrived, we were separated, I went to the place of the women. There were lots of round tables surrounded by Thai people. I tried to find an empty seat. After asking permission, of course using body language, I sit. Friday I was sitting with moms. I kept quiet, until finally there was one of them that speak to me in Thai. So, I said, “I’m Indo”. Alhamdulillah one of them, could speak English.
“Are you aย student here?”. Haha, no, but my husband is a student here, at Chula.
The second day, I was at the same table with teens. Only a few of them couldย speak English until finally one wondered if I could speak Malay? I said yes: D So, we had more chatting, but with much of missunderstanding too, hihihi. Many Thai Muslims can speak Malay.
After eating some dates, snacks, and drinking syrup, we prayed maghrib. After that, it’s time for… Eating!! Chicken, sauce, watermelon, fried rice. : D Aroy mak mak (very delicious)!
The imam in taraweeh prayer on Fridays really read surah very well, I said again, very wellll, really, MASYAALLAH .. ๐ read surah Al-Maidah. On Saturday, the imam was also cool, read quran tartil-ly. Read Surah Maryam. In the witr, the imams always read Al A’la, Al Kafiruun, and Al Ikhlash: D
